to everyone, but especially the women:
you were created to be beautiful. and you were created to create beauty. never let anyone guilt you, shame you, or blame you for your desire for it. the heavy pull in your heart towards beauty is not the devil, it is not sin, it is not your flesh battling your spirit.
it is the echo and proof that you were created in the image of God - a God whose first action as we know it was to create beauty and be pleased with it.
the perversion of beauty, when it happens, is that our eyes have been closed and we do not see it. the lie of beauty, when it it told, is that you do not posses it nor can you create it. the sin of beauty, when it is committed, is the same of lucifer’s magnificent, universe-commanding beauty: that he believed his definition of beauty to be greater than God’s. that he saw his beauty as his power, his right to be worshipped.
the vanity of beauty, when it seeps in, is that we chase after it instead of proclaiming it, that we hide our own in pursuit of another’s.
open your eyes, open your heart. live and breathe beauty, in whatever form you were created to be it, desire it, and create it.
throw out beauty, and you throw out God.
throw out beauty, and you throw out your soul.
to everyone, but especially the women: you were created to be beautiful. and you were created to create beauty. never...
