We are created to enjoy attention from one another. Community is good, healthy, necessary. Part of being in community is receiving and giving attention. To both men and women. So many of us give ourselves a hard time for enjoying attention from people, especially of the opposite sex. { Insecure, attention whore, unhealthy. We attack ourselves with it, and we sling it at others.}

Attention isn’t inherently bad.

Getting attention, in it’s truest state, affirms our value as a human being functioning here on planet earth. It only becomes bad if we derive 100% of our value from it, or if we let a lack of it de-value us.

Let us not allow manipulative attention and misplaced value-assigning ruin our ability to appreciate one another for who we are.
