hair: bumble&bumble shampoo/conditioner, although i’m trying davine’s love shampoo and conditioner right now! the dry shampoo by suave is my LIFESAVER and it’s only $3. i could never live without it. i use coconut oil for deep conditioning every now and then. :)
favorite makeup: black opulash mascara, margin blush, black paint eyeliner (in a pot + brush), face + body foundation…all that’s by mac. i love urban decay’s naked palette for eye shadow! and coconut oil is the world’s best skincare/makeup prep.
1. coconut oil - i no longer even use face wash or moisturizer.
2. good mascara - i like OPULASH by mac the best!
3. face + body foundation by mac - it’s lighter than “heavy” foundation and lasts foreverrrrrr.
4. the naked palette by urban decay if you’re an eyeshadow girl!
5. good blush - ‘margin’ by mac is the best color i’ve found that is useable on nearly every shade of skin.
yes of course! i wrote it out here. if you’d like a second option just let me know. <3 http://instagram.com/p/N5ALFux26c/
“i think most creative people are so damn insecure that they wanna think they know everything but they know deep in their hearts that they’re just in deep trouble from the minute they get up in the morning. so when you tell them, ‘that’s how you’re supposed to be!’ it’s incredibly liberating.” - art & copy
ummm i’ve tried this before and it gets pretty messy pretty fast. you can also watch the bachelorette to see how that works out, haha. no but seriously, it’s usually fine so long as everyone knows what’s going on. the worst is going out several times with a guy who doesn’t know you’re also going out to dinner with someone else. you have to pay a LOT of attention to emotional and physical boundaries to make sure you don’t end up in a hurt place, or hurting someone else.
hahaha no it’s not weird! i took a picture of someone else’s hair to the salon. i didn’t ask for a specific color i just showed him the photo and said “some blonde highlights but not at the roots.” lucky for me he did an amazing job, but i also sold my soul to pay for that cut & color, hah. i also had two shades of dark brown growing out and my natural brown growing in, so adding blonde really blended it and resulted in a lot of natural-ish shades. DEEP BREATH. yeah, so good luck, hun!!
aw thank you!! honestly i have yet to find a go-to editing program or filter. it always depends on the photo. lately i’ve just been using the instagram filters (usually amaro, valencia and sometimes brannan) but VSCO CAM is the best editing app i’ve found if i simply want to control saturation or contrast only. it can be overwhelming if you’re not a photographer who has edited photos in lightroom or photoshop before though. it takes some time to get used to it!
ahh i’m terrible at this! my favorite for a long time has been very sexy by victoria’s secret, and the women’s fragrance from ruehl (but it’s discontinued. sad sad.) my sister just sent me flora by gucci and so far i LOVE IT. my friend ashley just told me you can go to sephora and take home samples of a few perfumes for free, so that’s an amazing way to get free perfume and try it out before you drop $$ on it. :D

chipotle chicken panini from LA Cafe downtown. best sandwich i’ve ever had in my life. and the blueberry muffins from Coffee Bar, also downtown. to. die. for.
YAY this makes me so happy! and my favorite sport has always been gymnastics. although i don’t have a tv right now so i’m SO SAD that i can’t watch it. although i should probably see if its streaming anywhere online.
hahaha i love it. ummm, if i just need to take a quick breather and zone out? downton abbey is what i’m currently escaping with. hah. i try to get out of the city once a week just to get to nature (the desert!!!). it helps me remember that life is about more than just people and my problems, and i’m surrounded by nothing but beauty. OH: also, reading hi fructose magazine.
